Music

I love music - playing and listening.

Keys is my instrument of choice, and I have a growing collection of synths and organs. When I get the chance, I enjoy guitar and bass as well.

I currently play keys in a covers band called Small Things, using a Yamaha reface CP and Roland J-6 synth.

Previously, I played keys in Ministry of Rock - a covers band that prioritised playing gigs for charities and not-for-profits for minimal or no cost. I loved using a much bigger live rig - an OG Nord Stage, Hammond XK-1c and Behringer Deep Mind 12.

In recent years, I've started collecting and enjoying my favourite albums on vinyl. I currently listen on an Audio Technica AT-LP3X (with a VM95ML cartridge), through ADAM Audio T5V studio monitors. I keep track of my growing collection on Discogs.

Life

Home is in northern Sydney NSW, and I get to share it with Debbie. I'm humbled to be a father to three incredible young people, watching them grow and take life on. I try to do it all with the same love for people that Jesus showed.

I took a break from full time work for 3 months in 2023 and drove around Australia with my family, and it was an incredible time. You can read about those amazing 93 days here.

I can talk to you for hours about coffee, pretty much any motorsports, gin and red wine, cyber security, and Apple  - and I also love hearing about what makes other people tick too.
